Gates is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Sports Management at the University of West Georgia while continuing to expand a multimedia portfolio built through reporting, hosting, writing, interviewing, commentary, and content production. As a social media writer for MLBbro, Gates produces timely and culturally relevant content highlighting the accomplishments, influence, and experiences of Black and Brown players throughout Major League Baseball. His work combines news judgment with engaging digital storytelling, helping bring greater visibility to the athletes and narratives shaping the game.
Gates also serves as an analyst and content creator for Millions.Co, where he delivers commentary, debate, and perspective on trending topics across the sports landscape. His ability to combine strong opinions with factual analysis allows him to connect with audiences while creating conversations that extend beyond the final score.
For Sidelinr Sports, Gates contributes NFL reporting and analysis, including credentialed coverage from the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine. During the event, he reported on player performances, emerging league trends, and the evaluation process while developing professional relationships with athletes, executives, media members, and other individuals throughout the football industry.
At the center of his media brand is the TAG LIVE! 205 Talk Show, the sports talk platform Gates created, hosts, and executive produces. The show combines analysis, debate, exclusive interviews, entertainment, and authentic storytelling in a format inspired by major national sports programs. As the driving force behind the production, Gates develops show rundowns, researches topics, conducts interviews, manages creative direction, and delivers commentary designed to inform, challenge, and entertain sports fans.

Gates developed his foundation at the University of West Georgia, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Communications in 2023. During his collegiate career, he gained experience as a freelance sports reporter and multimedia journalist for UWG WOLF Radio and UWG WOLF Sports, covering local, collegiate, and professional sports while strengthening his reporting, writing, production, and on-air abilities.
He also served as Editor-in-Chief of The West Georgian, where he led editorial initiatives, supported newsroom operations, and helped expand audience engagement through digital storytelling and multimedia content. That experience strengthened his understanding of leadership, editorial responsibility, and the importance of producing accurate, relevant, and audience-focused journalism.
Gates is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists, the National Society of Leadership and Success, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
